How to Disable Windows Security Alerts in Vista

Step1

Right click on the little red shield on the lower-right bottom corner of the screen.

Step2

Highlight "Open Security Center" and click on it.

Step3

Click the link for "Change the way Security Center alerts me"

Step4

Click "Don't notify me and don't display the icon" and you're done!
